Conditional Sentences in Indirect Statement

 

In sentences 1-3 (a) is the direct statement, (b) is an indirect statement in primary sequence, and (c) is an indirect statement in secondary sequence; (a) (b) and (c) represent the same original sentence.

A chart of the rules for conditional sentences in indirect statement is available.

Use the finite verb construction in #1, the participle in #2, and the infinitive in #3.

1a. If you obtain justice from this man for all the things he has done, you will take a deserved revenge on behalf of all who suffered badly.
