a. Analyze one Isokratean period not analyzed in the
essay on loose and periodic style. Set out the Greek text first,
divided by kola/kommata.

b. Be prepared to comment in class on any differences you
notice between
Isokrates’ style and that of Lysias or Antiphon.

But
if I must not only accuse others but also make my own thought clear, I
think that all sensible people would agree with me that many of those
who have studied philosophy have continued to be private citizens but
some others who never encountered a single one of the sophists have
become formidable both as speakers and as citizens.
